Day 6 : As the temperature drops outside and and dinner in on the stove, Ricardo and I look over the map and talk about the options for walking the next day. It’s our last day camping in the Cederberg and we’re in the saddle between two mountains- one of which is Sneeuberg, the tallest in the entire range. Due to the cold and wind, we hid our tent in the wind-shadow of a large boulder and are in our tent early, way before dark. Typically I wouldn’t enjoy being in the tent this early, but luckily I’m very tired and look forward to getting to sleep. Dinner is a uninspiring freezer-dried “Chicken à la King” which is likely my favorite dehydrated meal but should not be seen as any encouragement for you to voluntarily call it dinner.
